In Bettiah, the vehicle of the Executive Engineer (Rural Development Department, Sitamarhi) and an overloaded tractor carrying sugarcane collided head-on. The tractor driver has died in this horrific accident. The incident took place at Ramnagar Overbridge in Bagaha district. The deceased has been identified as 36-year-old Lalan Ram, son of Hansa Ram, resident of Kaithwalia village of Semra police station area, a tractor driver. Three other people were injured and are undergoing treatment in the nursing home. As soon as information about the incident was received, Ramnagar police reached the spot, took custody of the body and started the process of sending it for post-mortem. Traffic remained disrupted for hours at the incident site.
Three people are undergoing treatment
According to the information received, on Saturday night from Ramnagar side, the executive engineer was going to Ramnagar from his residence Dumra Devraj in Lauria police station area along with his family. A sugarcane loaded tractor was also coming from the opposite direction. The tractor driver was seriously injured in this. In a hurry, with the help of local people and police, the injured was taken to Primary Health Center Ramnagar for treatment. During treatment here, Dr. Chandrabhushan declared him dead. The other three injured are undergoing treatment.
Vehicle damaged in accident seized
Here, after receiving information about the incident, the Municipal Council and JCB of Hari Nagar Sugar Mill, after a lot of effort, removed the accident vehicles from the road and started traffic on the road. Let us tell you that the executive engineer is a resident of Dumra Devraj of Lauria police station area and is posted in Sitamarhi. Ramnagar police station officer Anant Ram said that the police force was sent as soon as information about the incident was received. The police took the body into custody and sent it to Bagaha sub-divisional hospital for post-mortem on Sunday morning. Both the vehicles involved in the accident have been confiscated. The police is engaged in further action in the case.
